Over the last year, we at ECHO have been committed to the question: How do we best support families seeking the therapeutic properties of cannabinoids and cannabidiol (CBD)? We knew we had to assemble an all-star team of leaders to drive our development and growth so that we can achieve the biggest impact.
With this in mind, we are honored and excited to introduce you to ECHO’s Board of Directors: Andrea Barnes, Wayne Moorehead, and Brian Higuera. ECHO’s Board of Directors support our nonprofit by providing organizational strategy and vision, and these three bring a nonprofit and marketing background paired with personal CBD-related triumphs and experience in cannabinoid advocacy.
Andrea Barnes | President
Andrea has joined the ECHO Board as President. Andrea is a social entrepreneur and nonprofit veteran with over 30 years experience leading local, national and international causes. She has experience in managing international charitable operations while ensuring that all charitable laws and regulations are followed. An expert in raising money and developing corporate social impact programs, she is eager and excited to support ECHO’s mission of changing lives. She has a BA and MFA from the University of Utah.

Brian Higuera | Secretary/Treasurer
A devoted husband and father, Brian introduced CBD oil into the regimen of his special needs daughter to help her have a better quality of life. Since then, Brian has become a CBD advocate and is often put into contact with other parents seeking help for children with epilepsy or autism. Together with his wife, Damaris, Brian is dedicated to raising awareness of CBD’s profound potential and impacting cannabinoid policies by sharing his daughter’s story across various media outlets within the U.S. and around the world. He continues to attend conventions and city council meetings to share their story and advocate for cannabinoids and will serve ECHO as Secretary/Treasurer.
