Here’s the step-by-step process for applying to become an ECHO Sponsored Family:
Check to see whether you qualify to become an ECHO sponsored family
ECHO considers offering charitable donations to families that meet the necessary criteria. While we maintain an open application process and will consider each request we receive, our Application Team and the Board of ECHO do take certain criteria into account.
Your family’s medical expenses, income status and whether you’re on Medicaid, financial aid, or participating in the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) may influence whether an application is approved. Whether you’re already utilizing CBD-based products for therapeutic purposes will also weigh into your application evaluation.
ECHO will more likely approve applications from families facing specific illnesses that have been shown to benefit from the administering of CBD by published cannabinoid research. CBD has been found to potentially reduce or even eliminate seizures, manage pain, and to inhibit the progression of some cancers. Studies have also shown CBD to have antioxidant and neuroprotective properties, and subsequently beneficial for countering neurodegenerative disorders like Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), and for offering healing properties to related to spinal cord diseases and injuries, traumatic brain injuries and stroke. There are many more conditions, diseases and symptoms that have shown to improve with CBD. You can learn more about CBD’s potential therapeutic benefits here.
