What Are CBD Soap’s Benefits?
For starters, a high-quality CBD soap is cleansing and moisturizing like no other, so it will leave your skin feeling soft and supple. Also, CBD is thought to have potential skincare benefits like antioxidants and anti-aging properties to help your skin look and feel its best.
Kicking your shower and bathing routine up a notch with a good CBD soap may even help you feel more refreshed and energized, ready to take on the day!
How To Make CBD Soap
This recipe from Countryside is excellent for busy parents, especially when you are inside all day trying to keep your kids occupied. To craft the recipe, you’ll need 1 pound of detergent-free soap base, one tablespoon of CBD oil, ½ to ½ ounce of fragrance oil or essential oil, and optional soap-safe additives or colorants. Soap base can be purchased from many different online retailers and come in different varieties like goat milk or aloe.
Once you have the soap base, chop it up into small cubes and place in a microwave-safe dish. Heat the cubes in short increments until entirely melted, stirring between each heating period. After the soap is fully melted, stir in the CBD oil and be sure the two are thoroughly mixed. After they are mixed, this is the time when you can add any pigments or additional additives you want to put into your soap. When you have mixed in everything you want, you can either pour the mixture into soap molds or into a pan to cut into bars later. Be sure to store the soap in a completely sealed container to keep it from sweating.
If you want to do this project with your kids but don’t want them handling CBD, a simple solution is to leave the CBD oil out of their project. Instead, you can help them to melt a separate batch of soap base without adding any CBD. This way, your kids will be able to experiment with their own mixtures, pigments, and additives and feel like you’re all working together toward a goal. When you’re finished, everyone will have their own special soap to use during the lockdown, and you can even plan to give some away as gifts!
