“One person can make a difference, and every person must try.”
John F. Kennedy
2017 marked the first year of operation for ECHO Connection. The work has been exciting because we know we change lives. We are so honored that 758 donors embraced our mission and helped to make our work possible, and we are especially grateful to our Board of Directors and corporate donors: Medical Marijuana, Inc., HempMeds, Kannaway and Hempys.
ECHO stands for Education, Collaboration and Hope.
- Education: ECHO aims to educate the world about the benefits and science of cannabinoids. A tremendous amount of research is being conducted throughout the world, revealing more about CBD, other cannabinoids, and cannabinoid science. ECHO is building the world’s largest library of this research for easy, free access to anyone looking for more information.
- Collaboration: ECHO hosts an online community where people can collaborate and learn about CBD from each other in a safe and non-judgmental environment.
- Hope: ECHO provides hope for those dealing with difficult health issues. Hope is the giving branch for ECHO, and this is where you can make a difference.
Emergency hospital visits, missed work, and emotional turmoil—families coping with critical illness need tremendous support to deal with these everyday challenges. Traditional healing pathways often fall short and leave these families seeking alternative methods to improve their health and well-being.
Our mission is to serve families facing severe illnesses who are seeking the therapeutic properties of CBD Oil. Financially, the oil is beyond their means, and their need is great.
Here are a few of the many people we serve.
Freda is a young mother living in Mississippi raising five beautiful children. Shortly after her youngest son Jonah was born, she realized something wasn’t right. Blonde-haired blue-eyed Jonah wasn’t developing at the same rate as his older siblings. He couldn’t sleep. He hurt himself and others and faced significant learning delays. By the time Freda reached out to ECHO, her family was in crisis.
David is a Gulf War veteran still suffering from the strains of war. Since his return, he has received on-going medical care, and lives with frustrating medical setbacks and ineffective prescriptions. A recent medication he tried caused him to shake. Because of prescription side-effects and several chronic conditions, he had to step down from serving as a constable in his hometown. His family has suffered with him and David’s constant medical needs took a tremendous financial toll on the family. They reached out to ECHO because traditional medical pathways were not giving David the life he deserved.
Jenny’s has suffered from health issues nearly her entire adult life, and these chronic conditions haunt her and invade her day-to-day living. Recently, she got the diagnosis everyone fears, but even though her own health is fragile, Jenny must also care for her elderly mother. No matter how ill Jenny feels, her mother still needs her daily assistance—picking up groceries, making meals, and accompanying her to appointments. By the time she reached out to ECHO, Jenny was desperate.
These stories reflect the reality of the ECHO families we serve. Our families come from all walks of life and live broadly across the United States and even Mexico and Brazil. We serve children through older adults.

Why do our Sponsors Support ECHO Connection?
“When I first joined Kannaway, I was so happy to see that its founders and owners were committed to not only creating a culture around changing the world, but were actively engaged in so doing. I witnessed firsthand lives that had significantly changed for the better through the donation of the company’s products. I watched laws change in our country and around the world. Our company has played a large role in transforming the way the world understands cannabis, cannabinoid based products and cannabinoid science. We are proud to be leading the way in the marketplace.
Two years ago, we set out to formalize the substantial efforts that the company has been engaged in for over 8 years, and ECHO Connection is our chosen partner.”
Blake Schroeder, CEO Kannaway
“We are deeply grateful for the hundreds of individual donors and our generous corporate sponsors for helping ECHO Connection to make such a profound difference in the lives of our ECHO families and individuals world-wide who seek to understand the healing properties of cannabinoids. We are excited to continue our journey of service and welcome your support.”
